For the past 24 hrs I've had some terrible tooth pain. I do not seem to have a fever but I have not been able to sleep. My upper lip feels like there might be some swelling. I can't eat due to the pain and it hurts to clench my teeth. Should I go to my local ER or wait until I can be seen by a dentist? No home remedies I have tried have relieved the pain including ibprofen, alieve, ice packs, orajel, or salt water rinsing.

Try a dental group if you can't get to your regular dentist. The ER will just give you a narcotic - if you are lucky, after waiting for hours, and charge hundreds.
