Is there a way I may correct this or does a repair person need to be called? Washer last used two days ago and this light was on when I went to use it today. I unplugged the washer for about 15 min. but this did not solve the problem?

You didn't say which model. It may require holding a button(s) down for a couple of seconds.

The control locked light is on and the washer does not respond to any other command on the panel. I last used the washer two days ago and did nit experience or notice any problem. When I went to use it today the control locked light was on and there was no response when trying any other selection/button. I also unplugged
The washer for about 15 min. also to no avail.

Try holding down the end of cycle signal for several seconds, if it doesn't turn off, unplug for at least 30 minutes to force unlock.
