My laundry room floor has tiles, not even sure what kind (definitely not ceramic), but they are all cracked and some are missing. Can I just lay a cheap laminate floor right over it, or fill it in with leveling cement and then just paint over the cement? Any recommendations on how to do this as cheaply as possible since it" only laundry room? Thank you for any advice/info you can give me.

No laminate in a laundry room, one water leak and you will be ripping it all out. Take up the old tile, lay sheet vinyl.

Brian is right about laminate flooring.

Check with your big box store to see what they are closing out.

You can also use peel and stick.

Anything you put down that gets flooded will have to be replaced.
