    Pregnancy
Okay, tell me what you think... the company I work for has an outside third party company that handles payroll and insurance. Our open enrollment is in January and July. In January we got a new company and after reviewing the benefits and the premiums I agreed. In February I found out that I was pregnant. July passes into September and they switched my company's insurance without my knowledge or consent. I did not find out about the change until mid September when my company explained. When this change occurred I went from having to pay a $250 deductible to over $3000 in medical bills. Is this legal, and if so is there anything I can do?

Yes it is legal for them to change it without telling you. Is there a union contract in place? It is very unfortunate that this happened, but it is up to them whether they tell you upfront.
