The last time I board a plane I experienced this, during take-off and landing I felt pain in both ears. I tried openning my mouth but the pain lingers on. Upon reaching home I noticed that my hearing was not the same as before. This happened a week ago.

Your ears could still be stuffed up (yes, ears fill with mucous just like noses and sinuses). Wear earmuffs or a hat and inhale vapors from an almost boiling pot of water twice a day for a while.
Try some menthol cough drops and breathe deeply to get the menthol way back in your throat. Your ears drain into your throat.
See an ENT if it really hurts, of course.
