    Am I pregnant?
    Hello.
I am a 17 yr old female. I have missed my last 2 periods and the third one is coming up soon.
I have been feeling very tired over the last week or so and I have sudden sickly feelings at least twice a day for the past few days. Ive taken a couple tests which have come back as negative. (Though I have been told that time of month/day and such have effects on the test. I may have done them wrong :S) I plan on taking one the day before my expected next period date (18th April). If my period does not come again I am planning on seeing my doctor. Any advice on what I could be experiencing, or what the doctors will do? Also, what effects the tests reliability?
Thank you for reading this :)
Hope to hear back of you soon.

False negatives are very common with home pregnancy tests. The best time to take them is with first morning urine, but even then a false negative can happen. There are women that never get a positive with an at home test, despite the fact that they are pregnant.

I would urge you to get a blood test done at this time.

I wish you luck. Let me know how it turns out. You should know that blood tests aren't always 100% either, but they are more accurate than an at home urine test.

If the blood test comes back negative than I'd suggest an ultrasound. At 2 months late, soon to be 3, an ultrasound will definitely tell you if you're pregnant or not. But first you should try a blood test.

I will let you know. With all that time I've been making decisions which I know would change my life. Id be kind of saddened if I weren't pregnant after all this time.
I will get all the tests I can :) Thanks again.
