How will my green card be affected?
I was born in Nigeria, September 1989. I came to the U.S. in 1991. I have completed my elementary, high school and am currently in my final year in college. I was granted my permanent residency in 2008 and was initially up for citizenship this October 2013. However, I unfortunately got into some legal trouble last summer. I have been charged with 1) Evading arrest with motor vehicle, and 2) Possession of marijuana 12 ounces.

How will this affect my green card? Will I still be able to possibly get my citizenship? My concern is being able to move in and out of the country as I wish. I do not want to be deported, nor stuck in the U.S. My case will be closed by May/June. I will most likely have to accept a plea bargain of deferred adjudication.

Please let me know my options.

    Thank you

    Those are serious crimes...

A felony can and likely will get your green card revoked upon conviction... anything short of an accquittal is a conviction.. If jail time is involved licvkely a deportation would fallow the incarceration.
