    Child support
My boyreind and I have been together for 6 yrs and 3 yrs into our relationship, a girl from a one night stand about 7 yrs ago come and said that he was the father of her 3 yr old son and at the time he thought the child belonged to another guy that she had said it belonged to and it was left at that, them rumors started that it belonged to his father, and he wasordered to pay child support. We have been thinking about giving up his rights,in this case do you think he will still have to pay child support if he was to do this?

    Thank you

    Hello b:

If there's any question about paternity, he should request/demand a test. If the child is his, he will be required to support it, and rightly so. If not, he shouldn't.

Attempting to give up parental rights, however, has nothing at all to do with parental obligations. Supporting your child is an obligation, and can't be given up.
