Just tell him. How far away will you be? Nowadays, with Skype and inexpensive phones and email, you are always nearby. When I was your age, we had only snail mail and expensive long-distance phone (that we couldn't use unless it was an emergency). But then, when I was your age, I hadn't yet thought of boyfriends. Doing well in school was my main concern.

I'm guessing both of you will find other love interests fairly quickly.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. In this situation it's is best to tell him sooner than later. A positive in this situation is that you guys both have 2 months of proximity left. After the move if yours and his love are true as you believe things will work out. As cliché as it sounds love will find a way, if not with this individual than with another.
