I am a do it yourselfer but have a problem. When you pull out the timer knob to start the flow of water, after a few seconds the cold water shuts off. If I push in the knob and pull it back out, the water flows again for a few seconds then the cycle has to be repeated until the machine finally fills up and the agitator starts.

I have a feeling the problem is in the timer, but I haven't tried to take the back off yet.
