    Ladies: Makeup help!
What kind (concealer, foundation, other) and brand (Maybelline, Neutrogena, other) of makeup is best to hide redness? My skin is also quite dry...

How about finding out about the redness first? A common condition is called rosacea, and is treatable with a special ointment. It's sort of a cross between tiny pimples and a rash, specifically on the face. There's also tiny burst capillaries, which you can't do anything about without expensive laser treatment.

Others will be along to talk about concealing. As for moisturizing. I have extremely dry skin and have found that, since I don't have the natural oils that act as a protective film, a gentle washing of my face is often helpful whenever I have been out in the wind and dust and car exhaust. Pat dry, don't rub, and apply an unscented lotion. You can even use olive oil or rub your face with avocado peel before you go to sleep.

I have tried a couple drugstore concealers and they all make my skin appear more dry and flaky. My skin is very dry and can get flaky very easily around the nose and under the eyes area. I was able to find Sonia Kashuk® Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette. I find it works well with my skin. In terms of foundation, I use cream foundation because I think they have better coverage and I can use the stippling brush to just stipple instead of using a regular foundation brush! Hope this helps!

As you said you have dry skin, I recommend using a moisturiser before you apply your makeup, this will just make your skin nice and soft. A good moisturiser is by dove or johnson's but you can buy one from a drugstore or anything.

For the concealer, I use the Body Shop tea tree concealer because not only does it cover it but it treats it as well! It is £7.00 but worth it because it does wonders.

If you were looking for a foundation too, I recommend a liquid or a cream foundation as they have better coverage. Powder foundations are normally used to finish off a liquid foundation and won't cover very well. But, I suppose if you were going for a natural look, then the powder would be good because its very light

    Hope this helped x

Organic moisturiser, something with argan oil or Shea butter. Before putting make up. You can also use tinted moisturiser or bb cream for easier coverage and it also helps with many issues.

You can use any kind you want all you have got to do is pur some toothpast on the red pimple and then let it sit for a couple of minutes then wash off and the redness will go down then put on any conclearer and foundation you want. Hope this helps some things I have done before. :)
