    Almost 2 months pregnant and has an asthma.
    I'm almost 2 months pregnant and my problem is when I'm attacking my asthma. Her is my question? Its OK to take medicine when I'm attacking my asthma even I'm pregnant. Is This medicine is safe " MONTIGET 10mg MONTELUKAST SODIUM for antiasthma"? Kindly answer my question please...

    There have been some non-controlled animal studies that say it's okay to use, but there haven't been any controlled studies in humans. And in the drug counter-indications says that if you need it while pregnant you should use it - most likely because if you can't breathe your baby isn't getting enough oxygen which would likely be worse than using the drug.

    So my advice, is to use it if you need it. If you're still concerned talk to your doctor or pharmacist and they might be able to find you a drug that's been studied better in pregnant women.
