Child support for an 18 year old
My question is that my daughter is enrolled in an alternative school because she got kicked out of high school after her sophomore year in 2010 and was suppose to graduate 2012, but since she didn't attend regularlly to school she is 11 credits short. Her school says that she only has to attend 5 hours a week to be considered full time. Can I ask the courts to review my order due to the fact the only reason she is still going to school is that her mom still wants to receive the child support because she is still considered a student, She has been to truancy court 3 times in 2 years. And she is an under aged drinker and smoker? I feel as the non custiondian parent I have paid my support on time for the last 17 years and I have fulfilled my obligation but she hasn't by not going to school and graduating on time?

What state do you live in... many states at 18 they are adults and support ends unless the divorce and support agreement includes college... some states expand that through 21 if college is involved.

It won't hurt to try to go back to court and point out that your daughter is now 18 and the fact that she is still in school is due to her own choices. You may get support ended.
