I have same carb but seems very testy. For a year it will not get gas and not start. To fix I would take a bicycle pump and push air thriugh the gas line freeing up the line it would run fine for days or weeks. Same issue only now there's no way to blast air through the line seems clogged a spray of starter in air intake gets it going for only a few seconds fuel pum working fine help?

I moved your post off the nearly six-year-old one you attached it to. I would guess that your anti-backfire solenoid is dirty or just not functioning properly. Best to supply engine numbers at any rate for better replies.
