    Quick Question
If you have a probation Violation in the state of Virginia and don't have a real criminal background, but get pulled over and find out you have a bench warrant for a probation violation but was not aware of it what's the worse thing that can happen to you?

The worst that can happen? You can sit in jail until your court hearing for bail... which can be weeks or months.

Seriously... being aware of it or not has absolutely no bearing at least in Virginia. I know people who were picked up after a stop for a burned out headlight... that a Warrant from an adjoining state was open they knew nothing about... they sat in lockup for 3 weeks before they had an extradition hearing to be transported to that state before they even got a change to post bail on a stupid minor issue.

They never knew about that warrant either. I knew them well enough to believe them too.

I assume this isn't you because you have admitted to knowing about it, and you don't have internet access in lockup.

But before all that... if you have a probation you get a bench warrant out for violating... you do have a criminal record. It might be minor, but you have one.

What is going to happen, you are detained till hearing, then depending on violoation, if you stay in jail or not
