Toilet will not flush, water drains slowly,toilet paper does not go down. All else must be plungered. Tried the small hand crank snake (about 3 ft) but it did not help.

All I can think of is removing toilet and looking for hidden treasures.

Any suggestions??

Yes, sounds like its time for that, about all you can do.

Did you use a closet auger? You may need to go farther than 3 ft. Pulling the toilet isn't that hard, you may want to do that and snake from there with a rental machine.
