My wonderful puppy has been deadly sick for 3 months now, she has lost 1/4 of her body weight and I need her to gain it back. The vet still has no idea what she has,they are thinking auto immune disorder. She will not move and needs to be hand fed and drinks water through a turkey baster. She is only 1 year and 4 months old. I have no idea what to do. Btw she will not eat satin balls,dry food and treats.

I don't know if it'll help or even if they can do it with a dog that ill, but neutering made my dog start eating TONS (and he looked like a puppy POW before that). It might not be the same with spaying though.

I'm usually the one who laughs when people suggest this, but it's also worth a shot- have you tried a raw diet? Some people think it's the end all and be all in dog care, I'm a bit apprehensive, but if she's not eating anything else...

As far as actual things that might help: diluted Gatorade will help keep electrolyte levels up. And a high protein dog food for sensitive stomachs (they actually say, sensitive on the bag/can) will help her get the nutrients she needs.
