How to get a US green card from Australia?
Hi, my husband and I live in Australia. I'm an Australian citizen and my husband is an American citizen. We are planning to more to the USA this year around June and have filed for me to become a permanent resident. I have been approved by the USCIS and my case has moved to the national visa centre. I'm wondering how long is it going to take from this stage? Also I'm worried that we are going to have an issue because my husband has lived in Australia for a long time and works here. Is he going to have to go over before me and set up and show he is domicile in the USA? How long would we have to be apart for? We have saved a lot of money so will that help show that I'm not going to become a burden n the US? We don't know whether my husband should be going over soon before my case continues processing?
