    No hot water
    My water is not getting HOT. I tried the reset button on the waterheater and that still did not help. Any ideas?:(

    Check the breakers in the electric panel. If you have a test meter open the panel on the heater and test for vac, you should find 220vac. If you have power to the element it could be that the element is bad. Some heaters have two elements.

    Not very difficult. First purchase the corrcet replacement element, this will help you to also visualize what it looks like. Kill the power at the breaker, drain the tank, open the panel and locate the element. It should look like a 3 in. square plate with probably 4 screws attaching it to the tank plus your electric connection. Looks like the end of the new element. Before touching the electric put a test meter on the wires just to insure it is not hot. Remove the wires, the screws, the element. Install the new element with the new hardware and gasket. Do not reuse any old parts or screws.
