    25 days late-8 negative hpts
I am currently 25 days late. My last period was January 24, 2013 and it is now March 17, 2013 and my next period is on March 21. I was on birth control for about 3 years and stopped taking it in late July/early Aug of 2012. My ovulation day was February 4th and I had unprotected sex Jan 30, and Feb 1 and the day of my ovulation. I have had nipple soreness, but no nausea. I have been tired a lot more though. I have never been this late before. The last time I was late was for 14 days in November 2012. I took my recent hpt test 10 minutes ago and it was negative. Could I still be pregnant?

Did you test using first morning urine?

Yes, it's possible that you're still pregnant. At this point I'd go to the doctor for a blood test.

I tested the morning urine on like day 8 of my missed period. Haven't done it since. I was going to do the morning urine tomorrow. I was planning on going to Planned Parenthood tomorrow after work to get a blood test, I just want to make sure it is worth it. Everywhere I read says that hpts are pretty accurate so if they are negative then you aren't pregnant.

Everywhere you read is wrong. Some women never test positive using an hpt, even in their 9th month of pregnancy. False negatives using an hpt are very very common. A false positive isn't.

I would test again using first morning urine. If it's negative, I'd wait until your next period is due in a few days, and if you miss it, then get the blood test.

You need to do morning urine, and after day 14, so time to do that test again in morning. But some women can go into 2nd month before test positive. So test in morning, if still negative, wait to see if you miss the next period, I if you do, time to see doctor for a blood test
