    Chalky dust in master bedroom
My wife and I moved into a older house in December and since have found our master bedroom to be covered in a coating of white chalky powdery dust. I'm pretty sure it is from dry wall, but have no idea where it is coming from. I check the obvious air vent in the room and do not see much of the dust around the vent, but find it to cover our night stand and other wood furniture in the room. I did vacuum up some up the dry wall debris that was in the air duct, but not convinced it is all coming from that. I have never seen anything like it. Anyone ever have this problem? What did you do? What should I do/ Where should I go?

    Thanks

It sounds to me like the ducts in the en tire house may be full of the dust. Best thing to do would either clean them out yourself or check the yellow pages for a company that does clean them. A heating and air conditioning company would be preferable to a company that just clean ducting. That way they could see if there aren't any other problems causing the dust.
