My puppy was spayed 2 days ago. She has developed a lump on her right side near her ribcage that seems to be growing.
I also have noticed tremors since the surgery. I called the vet and they said to keep an eye on her. The tremors are whole body shakes that last only a few seconds.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I looked up treatment and prognosis for tremors. It says chech if puppy has a fever and check for vomit or diareha. This could b caused for excitement , injury or a sickness( and from fevers) or toxic food. Hope I helped and I hope the puppy is all right.

If this was only done a couple of days ago, call the vet that did it. If it was done by a clinic call them right away. Your puppy is sick,, call a vet,, don't waste time asking for help here. Think of your puppy as a seriously sick person.

I'm not a vet; but, I'd take my dog to the vet NOW! Obviously this is not right. I think it sounds like some bleeding; but we don't know. The tremors may or may not be related. My vet would open his office and meet me for a problem such as this. Sounds serious. You should get serious too!

Thank you all for your advice. I did take her to the emergency vet last night and they think it could be neurological. So she will be gettting tests Monday from her regular vet.

We own a mini doxie and the little guy has tremors when he is afraid of something or not feeling well.

Is the lump near the incision? Swelling can occur after surgery, that's not unusual. The tremors could be due to pain, which is understandable two days after surgery. Did the vet prescribe pain meds? Are you giving the pain meds as prescribed?
