Can my parole officer stop my husband and I from living together?
I live in Missouri and am getting married to a man who is also on parole but whose crime has nothing to do with mine. Neither one of us has been in trouble for over a year but his officer is throwing a fit about us moving in together. Can they keep us from living together after we are married as long as we are obeying all other directives?

    Hello J:

In MY opinion, they can't. That doesn't mean they won't try, and they MIGHT be successful. You BOTH might wind up back in the slam...

Now, I don't know how long either of you have left under supervision, so I don't know if you want to wait. And I don't know if you have money for a lawyer, and/or I don't know if you want to fight them yourself...

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

My husband just got released from doc we were married before we both got our felonies I have no where to live and my po and his po won't let us live together for 3 months I think that is a little extreme. Should we go before the judge and ask him to intervene?

    Hello R:

I dunno how much time you've done, but 3 months is NOT extreme at all.. It's inconvenient. Nothing more. If it were more, I'd tell you to fight. But, it isn't.

PS> (edited) Look.. I have NO idea what they think they're gonna accomplish with a 3 month delay.. It's just STUPID.. But, that's WHO they are - STUPID people with AUTHORITY over your lives..
