My 3 year son won't talk in full sentences
He is 3 years old and I'm very worried about him. He understand all the instructions He started walking perfectly after 2 years. Now also he is afraid of running. He is holding himself while running, jumping. What ever he wants he take us there and points it out.

You should not be worried that your 3 year old son is not talking in full sentences. All children learn at their own pace.

What language is spoken in the home ?

I would say he is normal, and pretty much can guarantee within the next year will talk better and ask you questions you cannot answer. He must be the first experience for you, and maybe your expectations are causing the worry.

Relax why don't you. He will come along in the next year or so before he starts school at 4, or 5.

My 3 year old sister doesn't talk regularly either. You can't expect that a toddler can speak like an adult. So he is normal.

If he has had a checkup at the pediatrician ruling out any hearing or other medical issues, then it is quite normal to not speak full sentences. What languages are spoken in the home? Some children with multiple language homes have trouble with sentence formation. If he starts kindergarten and still speaks only one or two words at a time, then he may need speech therapy. Continue modeling complete sentences and insist that he repeat words when he wants something. For example, if he points to an apple, make him say apple.

Hello. I am a special education teacher and I would speak to the dr. about this. It could be a problem, or you could be over reacting. Kids learn and speak differently. What type of learning/speaking strategies are you using at home? Example, Speaking Games or listening to Phonics, etc.

What does your pediatrician advise you to do? Maybe you are not patient enough and expect instant results. Or expect him to follow a mold of his siblings perhaps? Did they speak full sentences at 3?

At 3 years old a child is not expected to speak in full and complete sentences.
