    Statute of limitations on personal loans in ontario canada
    A loan of 25,000$ was given to me by my in laws to pay off debts my then husband had incurred. I paid all debts off then husband decided to leave the marriage. I saw a lawyer and was advised to stop repayment on this loan as I am unable to afford it. This was in August 2011. They r now trying to get me to pay. Do they have a case and if so will they need to sue their son as well?

    Did you sign any agreement for the loan they made?

    Yes. I did.

    The loan was in 2009, he left in sept 2009 and I continued paying till August 2011
