But seriously Australian politics has taken a turn for the seriel

Adam Giles rolls Terry Mills as NT Chief Minister | News.com.au

So like Julius Cesear you stick the knife in when the victim isn't looking, but this is the second leadership change in the last week, only a few days ago the Victorian Premier, Ted Beillieu, suddenly decided that enough was enough and he was immediately replaced. Fact is someone withdrew support from his government, and down he went. If only it were so easy to ditch Julia Gillard, who came to power in a similar coup at federal level four years ago, and who last week was blamed for the wipe out of the Labor Party in the Western Australian state election, needless to say calls have been made for her head and these have been ignored. But who would get the gong, not Krudd who is still on the nose, not Swanny, who is still trying the explain the non existent Mining Tax, not Shorten, who has disappered into the shadows. It seems no one wants to lead a dead duck to the September election, not even Krudd

Well not yet, but as Julia progresses she makes everything worse, yesterday the Media Minister announced legislation on a take it or leave it basis. With the Greens having deserted her already it is fairly unlikely it will even get out of the House, let alone pass the Senate, this, of course, is lunacy and arrogance beyond belief.

If we are not careful we will not be able to tell the difference between ourselves and the US, with seven month long election campaigns and legislation which just isn't going to get up , I think we will call it the american disease
