For over a month suddenly my tongue, the front 1/3 and u the rt dide started tingling
Over a onth ago my front 1/3 of the end of my tongue and all up the right side started tingling then turned to burning and now my right lower lip goes numb. It's also red and very swollen. I have high pain threshnold for pain so the numb and burning bother me the most. I went to doctors and he fluffed it off saying I must have bitten it in my sleep (no teeth). Its not normal and it's not going away. The burning feels /has a taste of either metal or eating way too many fireball jawbreakers Ivery high in cinamon.I kept feeling there was something on the base of my mouth, under the tongue and noticed what looked like a couple of clots there. I can't seem to get my dr to listen no matter the problem... he fluffs me off. I've have approx. 15 pre cancerous skin lessions removed, I'm have severe sunpoison 3 times, am fair, 62, obese. At 42 father passed from aortic occlussion and he was in excellent health, mother 68 passed from pulmonary occlussion, and atrial fib. Grandfather passed 69 with adult onset diabeties and Gilliam Bere Syndrom. Should I be concerned? I am one to think if I ignore it, ti will go away, don't know why as that doesn't work. Any suggestions? Diabeties, Lupus..

Sadly we can't diagnose online, in this case it would be hard to even give you a guess.

I really would see a different doctor, the one you're seeing now is not taking you seriously. Did he even do any tests before he said it was nothing?

    Get a second opinion.
