In house wiring, in a two or three gang box, can more than one circuit be fed in?
In a two or three gang switch box, can the switches be fed from different circuits?

Sure! Just don't connect the different circuits together. My old house has numerous boxes with extension rings added to make running new circuits easier.

It is quite common to find light circuits from different power leads. As Scott said, don't pull a hot from 1 circuit and a neutral from another.
