Needed some advice from the members.

I have heard some stories where there is a family emergency and the individual can't travel out of US because of pending GC application.

For H1B visa holders, what are the travel restrictions while the Green Card application is *pending*? I have read some forums but most tend to discuss the restrictions *after* the GC is approved.

You should wait until your case is approved, in case of emergency, obtain Advance parole.

You can travel outside the U.S. while your green card application is pending, since you have an H1b visa. An advance parole is not required. See here.
