These kids still or something I can't renember and he gives them like drugs toys and candy as rewords and I renember at the end thes guys break in and kill the old man with a sledj hamber and then he starts singing its was a really odd movie and I can't find it iwas a kid when I seen it so I don't renember the name

Bits of your description remind me of "Oliver!" (1968): the old man and the boys who steal and the singing. However, "Oliver!" doesn't have the rest: drugs and candy; a sledgehammer death, particularly of the old man. "Oliver!" has a savage death when Nancy is beaten to death by Bill Sykes.

I looked at a list of films to see if another musical version had been made but didn't find one. That's not saying your movie has a link to "Oliver!"/"Oliver Twist". That's what the description reminds me of.
