    97 gmc jimmy eng light
    Have a 97 gmc jimmy. Eng light on, code said mass air flow and or crank sensor. Changed both, still get same code. Going crazy . Any ideas on this one?

    . Did you reset the computer, after installing the new sensors?
    . Don't use any WD-40, electricial contact cleaner, or brake cleaner on sensor connections. If you did, blow off with compressed air and dress with a small Swiss file.
    . Next step is to check ECU and connections.

    Along with the mass air flow sensor you may need to replace the smoke box... happened to me at 127k. The generally do not go out but occasionally they do... hope that helps
