92 chvy pick up surges poor idle
1 have a 92 chevy k1500 5.7 eng,200100. Miles on it, the fuel pump went out , changed it. When I start to go from a stop it feels like trans is slipping, rpms fluxuate in park. Changed trans fluid, it looked and smelled clean, still same. At idle it surges. Don't remember having this problem before the fuel pump left me sitting. Did complete tune up , cleaned fuel injectors with inj. Cleaner.could I have a bad fuel pump or do I have a problem with the tbi unit? Any ideas?

Checked for vac leaks all good no codes

    . Check for vacuum leaks.
    . Check for codes.

Checked injectors, spraying OK, put inj. Cleaner in, no vac leaks, at this time no codes. Had one the code was running too lean, did complete tune up, I don't think I had this problem before I put the new fuel pump in. is it possible the fuel pump is'nt giving me the pressure I need?

If anyone else has this problem , check the fuel pressure regulater. It has a spring and a diaphragm, my spring was broke in a about 6 pcs. Runs great now..

Thanks for the update and nice bird dogging. Very unusual to have a fuel pressure regulator go.
