    Which edition of turbo tax programs should I use as an independent contractor
    I received a 1099 misc. I have no employees and I made $6000.00 ,I will be filing jointly with my wife. I want to use a turbo tax program but which one? Would it be the one for home and business?

    The Deluxe version will be enough. You enter your 1099 Misc income and related expenses under the Business income section. This generates a Schedule C.

    The online version of TaxAct will serve just as well.
