Filing taxes as a married couple when spouse doesn't have a SS#
I am an US citizen and I married a Romanian woman last year. Unfortunately, she doesn't have her Social Security # yet.

I was wondering if it is possible to file as a married couple electronically without her SS #?

If this is not possible what other options do I have?

I would prefer to be able to receive all deductions that I am entitled to because I have been supporting her.

You CANNOT file electronically with no ITIN or SSN.

You must fill out Form W-7, have her sign it, and submit it (with a notarized copy of her passport attached) along with a completed joint tax return (with her name on it under yours [her SSN area BLANK], and with her signature on the return) to the address in the W-7 instructions.

The IRS will issue her an ITIN, insert said ITIN in the tax return, process the return, then send her the ITIN in a separate letter. Once she gets the ITIN, you can then file the state tax return.
