    Gable Roof Framing
    I'm building a 10' x 8' gable roof shed. Can I frame the roof on the 10 ft. span (gable end) instead of the 8 ft. span? Roof pitch is 4/12. Thank you.

    Sure, either way.
    Will the shed door be under the gable end, with a suitable overhang, so that rain isn't pouring on you in bad weather?

    The door will be on the gable end and with 12" overhang. Thank you.
