I have a misdemeanor assault conviction about three years ago. I'm trying to go to a tech school. What should I major in to help me succeed in the job market?

I have a misdeamonor assault conviction from about three years ago. I want to attend a tech school. What field should I enter that would allow me to enter the job market with such a conviction?
