    87 Honda Accord sputters
I have a 1987 Honda Accord LX. It starts but when you press the gas it sputters and will not stay running. I have replaced the following fuel pump, fuel pump relay, fuel filters spark plugs and wires, air filter, cleaned carb and still will not stay running. What can it be? Please help!

The problem likely resides with the distributor. Focus on the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and Pick-up Coil. Also, ensure the rotor, distributor cap, and ignition coil have been changed in the last 60,000 miles. The ignition coil should be replaced every 120,000 miles.
