I have a deep well and the pressure switch is located in the well casing with a rubber hose going down to pump. I can bring pressure switch up to surface to work on or replace.main water line goes from pitless adapter to inside of house.I don't have a visible pressure tank,where could it be?

Well, I have heard of tanks being underground. Since tanks also require servicing access to it should be obvious if that is your case.

I have heard of pressure tanks that are actually in the wellbore. Never seen one, but have heard of them.

Not sure what the problem is with your system. Is it giving you trouble?

A rubber hose or an electrical line? If it's a rubber hose, then I can't imagine why it would go to the pump. Perhaps it goes to a pressure tank farther down in the well??

I got to say, this sounds like something I have never encountered. How big is your well casing? Can you show us some pics of your pressure switch? Im sure there is a logical explanation of things, but without seeing the settup first hand, going to be hard to guess. Im very curious on this, so please do let us know what you find out.

That's a new one to me. I imagining a flexible well pipe.
Can't imagine why some one would put the switch down the casing though.
