As I've made it clear I used to have an alcohol problem. Kind of scared to ask my p.o these questions because of suspicions falling upon me. I recently moved back in with my parents (bad timing and unfortunate string of bad events) that's besides the point, but OK, my p.o said I can't be around alcohol at all, but my dad and brother have alcohol lyingaround all the time. Not that I'm tempted.. well not anymore, but can I get in trouble for THEIR living situations? I mean they can't FORCE me to move when I have nowhere else to go just because they have alcohol on hand can I? They have no say so in THEIR habits even though I live here do they?

I am not a police officer, probation officer, or a professional in this field. But, I would ask your probation officer about this. I really don't think it matters where you live, as long as you don't drink. Be honest, and ask. It would really relieve your mind a lot. Good luck.
By the way, congratulations on not drinking. By the Grace of God as I understand Him, AA, and friends in AA, and the Big Book, I have not wanted a drink of alcohol in the past 21 years! You can do it, too.

Yea I feel a lot better knowing that I can go report andnot worrying about alcohol showing up in my urine... which I could most likely get away with since I've read up on a lot of information... but no.. not drinking at least until I'm off probation in may is MUCH less stressful then worrying about the chance that it'll show up... and thanks.. guess ill ask her these questions when I report Tuesday.

Yes, you can be violated and put back in jail for anything lying around. If the po does a home visit and it is just in the fridge, you could go to jail.

And yes the PO can order you to move out from that house. Where you go would be your problem

they say that they're trying to help you when your on probation.. seems like a bunch of bs in my opinion... if anything they just make your life more complicated.. ill look into this.. and I've been on papers for a yr n 3 months.. no home visits not even once... well ONE time to pick me up because I had ed up.. but that's it

These are the terms of your probation. You are required to follow them.

You had a problem with alcohol (I haven't read your other posts), so the terms of your probation require you to stay away from alcohol. That includes any alcohol in the place where you are living. They can and will violate you as you are actually violating your terms.

It's just like convicted felons not being allowed to be around firearms. It's your responsibility to find a situation where the "bad" stuff is not around. Ask the relatives you are living with if they would be so good as to put the alcohol away and not use it when you are in the house.

If they can't or won't do that, it's further evidence that your home situation is not conductive to keeping sober.

that sucks... I have nowhere to go.. and they're grown, nobody can tell them what to do, I think it should be fine as long as I'm not drinking, have passed every alcohol test since my probation got reinstated.. consequences are 120 days in jail.. too much to do for me to endup doing that... well my p.o is cool.. hopefully she'll understand

oh she knows I live here, but I don't if she knows that there's an alcoholic living here too.. but ill let her know... might be a bad idea to let her know... well for my well being...
