My boyfriend and I enjoy rough sex/bdsm. Yesterday while in the middle of sex I started bleeding, like dripping down my leg blood. As the first day of my last period was 2/11/2013 I know its not my period. I bleed heavily for a few hours, wore a pad last night and this morning still have slight blleding but lighter. Any thoughts on what this could be because of. Nothing like this has ever happened.

Hi! I think you should be alarmed regarding bleeding during intercourse it may be a serious condition like it maybe some vaginal disorders, STDs, cancer or just abnormal growths in vagina. Hope this help :)

We don't know how rough you were and if you tore delicate inner skin. You were also mid-month, when bleeding is common, although usually just spotting. If it has pretty much stopped I wouldn't be too concerned. You may know more the next time you have sex.
