Whenever you have sex there is always a possibility of pregnancy.

Considering you had intercourse 5 to 6 days before your period, it is very possible that you shed the uterine lining while the fertilized egg was still in the fallopian tube.

However, 5 days is not considered late in the medical community even for the most regular of women. You will have to wait until you are approximately 2 weeks late prior to testing for an accurate result.

When you test, be sure to use first morning urine.

Go to your medical practice or doctors, I had two negative tests and I'm now 7 months pregnant sometimes tests can't be accurate because of your hormones etc, if you put an appointment on at your doctors they will take a pee sample and tell you if you are pregnant or not, or if you go to your nearest GUM clinic they can tell you within minutes:)
