    Hi Steven

Are we talking about testing the drain/waste/vent pipe system? If so, then test requirements in my area allow for a WATER TEST that has a 10 foot head of pressure to be held, leak free for 15 minutes, or an AIR TEST that tests @ 5 P.S.I. for 15 minutes using a gauge that reads in 1/10th LB increments.

Other states may have different requirements so you may want to check with your local plumbing inspector to know exactly which test and what pressure/time of test is correct for you.
