My last day of Probation is in 2 weeks . I was put on it for 2 years following a DWI arrest . I was put on unsupervised probation last May having met all my requirements the court asked me to do . Paid off everything . I've called once a month since June 2012 . Never missed a day . With 2 weeks ago . I haven't gotten a letter or a call to come in on the specific day that is my last . Should I call the week before? Should I just assume since I'm done that it's not necessary for me to even come down to the Probation Dept. I'm just wanting this to be done . Don't want to get into trouble.. Thanks

Be pro-active... assume you DO need to do this... and that the letter got lost or call missed.

Assume someone dropped the ball.

Goal #1.. is protect your own butt by making sure every effort is made to do as required.

Call them.. and write them... send it registered and request a signiture.

Let them specifically tell you you have nothing more to do... don't assume it.

You've done everything that was asked until now... go the extra mile and make them tell you what you do and don't have to do. Just in case something fell through the cracks. More people get in trouble assuming things than being proactive.

I would call them, get an appointment, if you need one. Please check on it beforehand. As you say, you don't want to mess it up now, or have someone overlook the fact. Good luck.
