Ang Lee director with this film won the Oscar for Best Director Award.

I don't think there was any big Morals or Lesson to learn but I really loved the visuality of the film. The fairytale-like environment and the strong scene of the boat sinking... I would like to see it again although I would have liked some deeper insights in life also there :)

I didn't see the movie (yet) but read the book years ago... I think there is plenty of insight into life there, but like any good tale, it's symbolic in ways that allow the reader or viewer to take what they want from it.
