    What haiir dye will stay and fix my roots
    The tips of my hair were always brown and the rest different blond colors! And underneth brown... but my die to try and color it all one color failed... my roots came in brown the color of my ends!:( how do I fix it and make it last?

    You have to bleach it all out. My best answer though is go and get it professionally done it may cost but its worth it in the end.

    If you can't afford to have this done professionally, you can buy a product in the hair color section of the drug store (don't remember what it's called... read the boxes) that is designed to remove old color from your hair. It will remove natural as well as dyed colors and your hair will look just horrible when you're done - don't panic.

    Then you immediately dye it the desired color.

    When I need costly services done, I go to a good beauty school. Beginners do the work, but they are supervised by instructors. It's a lot cheaper. I had good results when I did this to my hair, but would recommend having a professional do it. It sounds like your hair is pretty processed with all the different colors, and you can risk over-processing your hair.
