My washer continues to run water, will not fill up will not start cycle

The switch has a clear plastic hose that could be stopped up or have a hole in it. Disconnect at bottom of tub and check it out. Blowing on it should cause the switch to click and close. Cut off ends and make a good connection to see if it fixes it.
