    Missed period
I just finished my 1st month on birth control including placebos and still haven't received my period. I am a week maybe more late. My periods are regular. I did miss quite a few pills. Took one hpt which was negative. Should I be worried? Or is it nothing? Please help.

If you missed a few pills then your chances of pregnancy are increased. No form of birth control is 100%, but when used incorrectly, there's a very large chance of pregnancy.

You'll have to wait until your period is at least 2 weeks late, then test using first morning urine.

Thanks for replying. Another question. Idk exactly how late I am. According to placebos almost 2 weeks, but according to my actual cycle I'm a week late. Which should I go by?

Missing pills will throw off your cycle, so there's really no way to determine when it should have come. I'd wait another week. If you don't get your period then, than try the pregnancy test. You could test now, use first morning urine, but don't take any result taken now as gospel. For that matter, even if you wait two weeks, unless it's positive, don't take it as gospel. A positive result means you're pregnant, a negative result can be a false negative, false negatives are common, false positives aren't.

Im actually 2 months late now. Had a blood test done a week after missed period that was negative. A week after that I had dark brown spotting for a day... I hate to make another dr appt if I shouldn't worry.

A blood test done a week after a missed period won't be accurate. It's too soon to test.

I would try a home pregnancy test, use first morning urine.

Let me know how it works out. Make sure to take the test first thing in the morning, with the first pee of the day, it will be more accurate then. :)

I have another question. I was only on the pill a month, missed a lot as I stated before. I haven't taken a pill at all in 2 weeks. Should that have messed my cycle up this much?? I was told when I got the blood test that the birth control was the reason for no period but I was only on the pill a month. And no period for 2 months.. Confused me. Sorry everything is all over the place. Thinking as I type.lol
