I understand parents want to protect their children but what if it borders on making threats against another person that can not be backed up. I was working around my home one day and my neighbor , who is separated form his wife, came home with his kids. He has 2 or 3 boys 1 girl who I think is the oldest. Well for some strange reason he commented something about not looking at his daughter. I mean like what the heck did I do I was on the roof of my home in plain sight when they exited the vehicle he was driving? Any opinions or whether the police should be called to question what his motives were?

I don't know on what planet the police are going to come out to question someone's motives. The police rarely even respond to outright threats - something physical, something violent has to happen. Even if your neighbor had said 'Look at my daughter one more time and I will kill you.' Sadly, many people do get hurt or even killed but that's the law. In America, free speech protects your neighbor. He can say whatever he wants.
YOU can ask him what's going on. It's possible that his daughter has been a problem for him, dating, sneaking out, interested in too many boys, and he took it out on you after they argued in the car. Or she said 'oh look at the good looking guy on his roof.'

I would have just spread my arms wide and said WHAT?? And gone back to what I was doing. Let it drop unless it happens again.

I can not agree any more about the police responding but the daughter is more or less a preteen maybe 10 or 12 age range. It just seems like he was imply something I did when nothing happened but him opening his mouth. Just trying to get an idea of what was implied if anything. The thing is I suppose if I was a person walking past and stopped and was looking in their direction something else might have happened. Just to add one more thing several years before this and when he was not separated one his boys who was maybe 3 or 4 year old was outside wandering around with no clothes on. Is that common for a parent to have a child wander out of the home and not know it?
To say I am a little star struck by this.
