I think you may have left something out of your question.
To find the displacement you are actually looking at the third side of a triangle. In other words, the distance whence the hunter started. A bearing of 45 degs. Considered in relation to a bearing of 180 degs, would result in an angle of 45 degs when he changes direction.
We know that he walks for 60 minutes. At 6 klms per hour, but how long would he be walking for a 6 klms. Per hour in the first instance?
