Hi

I'd like to remember the name of this movie or short movie which I saw on TV sometime in the 80's ?
I can remember a boy, who sneaks in salvage yard into a dark space ship to play.
And if I can remember correctly.. while playing with the ships controls he accidentally manages to turn on the onboard computer. Which happens to be an AI. Boy helps to solve some broken? Connections or something for the AI to get all it's systems running. On return the AI teaches the boy to fly the space ship.

As for previously suggested, the movie isn't "Flight of the Navigator"

Can anyone remember this one? I really would like to see this again.

Hmm, I wonder if you're combining movies? It certainly sounds like it could be the Flight of the Navigator, except for the junkyard part... here's some other suggestions, although they don't fit your description exactly either
